No, I've actually detected something a little more than your "defense".

Have you ever considered maybe the reason I argued with you isn't that I'm a christian but that you were, per definition, acting like an ass?
So, only certain people are allowed to speak their mind, but others cannot? Hmm... "Fair and Balanced".

For other people it was mostly enough to say "I think this" and "I think that", and then you came in and started listing 500 reasons for why "this is stupid and that's the way it is, period". That's not cool.
Actually, I wasn't the one to fire the first missle, not to mention that I didn't swear at anyone.

I've ran many BBS'es (in those days), IRC chat channels, forums and the likes and in my opinion you're pretty far above the norm in your measure of constant baiting and subtle flaming, it doesn't change anything the fact you keep a low tone and doesn't resort to swearing.
Hmmm. "Many" as in one or two? From my experience, I'm below that level of "baiting and subtle flaming".

If you kept baiting and provoking a buddhist in the same ways, taking little constant stabs at what constitutes their faith as well, dropping irrelevant comments in other threads and picking avatars just to mock them, I'd be standing up for them as well just on the very principle that you'd be out of line and you need to keep that crap to yourself.
You may be right.

And if you were far off the mark in your accusations, I might argue individual points there as well, but it would hardly make me a buddhist, would it?

Just because you're so overcome with your own bitterness and pent up aggression towards religion you see christian nuts in every bush, doesn't give you the right to come and vent it here - regardless of how small the forum is.
