Those knock off movies are so terrible. Does anyone actually watch those?

Also back to the original topic, I don't think I ever thanked you guys for being so polite and friendly to me back when this site was populated. My grammar and spelling was god awful and I was pretty immature but you guys were never hostile to me. This site was a big part of my preteen years when I was obsessed with Avp. (Still pretty much am)

So thank you so much, i'll never forget you guys and this site even though it's dead now.

I just bought the game a few days ago and so far it's pretty great. The Alien is truly terrifying and the Synthetic "working joes" are also extremely creepy. Pretty much everything Darkness said is true.

A bad thing though is that i'm playing on PS3 and it almost seems like the PS3 can't handle the game very well. I've experienced frame rate drops occasionally and some things don't load properly and pop in. Also my loading times are pretty long and that can be pretty annoying, especially for a game where you die so often. I feel like this probably doesn't happen on next gen consoles and powerful computers, but I don't know.

Also this game can be pretty frustrating at parts, (I'm playing on the hardest difficulty) if the Alien sees you you are pretty much dead. The synthetics are also very hard to kill without an emp and if there is more than 1 attacking you, and you are cornered then you are also pretty much dead. The human survivors are pretty easy compared to the synthetics and Alien. Two hits with the melee weapon kills one human.

The game is pretty awesome so far, other than the frame rate drops, load times, and pop ins, it's excellent. The game may be frustrating but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I say you all should get it as soon as possible.

I personally thought the story was pretty boring and the gameplay was very poor as well. Also the a.i. had a lot of problems as well, the aliens just charge at you blindly. Also the animations are pretty bad. Overall it was just a disappointment for me.

Anywho, Alien Isolation has been released recently and the reception is extremely positive. I can't wait to get it, it finally seems like the Alien game that I have always wanted.

So after the abomination that was Aliens: Colonial Marines we are getting another Alien game. Personally, Isolation looks very promising but yet so did Colonial Marines.
But yet I shall keep my optimism because I honestly can't get rid of it when there is an Alien game coming out.

Also I very much like how the Alien isn't the only enemy, throughout the space station there is many humans and androids that you have no idea if they will be friendly or hostile.

Anyway, i'm pretty excited for this game.

Awesome Trailer

Awesome Gameplay

Ahh, I remember being a 10 year old that obsessed with AVP joining this site. I'm sorry to everyone for any annoying things that I most likely did during those days.

Also it is awesome to see that some people come on here occasionally.

Awesome update VenomX! Glad to here you don't plan on shutting down Freaks anytime soon.

I've read a lot of varied reviews of Prometheus but damn yours is one of the most negative I've read. Not sure why. I scored it 3.5/5.

I agree with most of your points. Thing is the film did start of as a proper alien prequel written by a chap called Jon Spaihts. Lindelof came along and got rid of the alien life cycle, and changed a lot of stuff. Hence why there's so many unanswered questions.

I thought all the cast were good. Especially Shaw, David, Vickers and Janek.

Did you actually notice how similar the premise was to the first AvP? A lot of the scenes were very similar too.

I still think it's a far better film than the AvPs. Prometheus had a hell of a lot more visual style. The epicness alone is better than AvP. And don't even get me started on Requiem. Alien and Predator were duking it out in an american town for gods sake. How worse can it get?

Still sounds to me you don't like Prometheus because it's not an alien prequel.

I just saw Prometheus and this just pretty much sums up what I thought of it.

Actually, I like the smooth head better. It is a lot more creepy.

Seriously, how hard is it to make a good script these days? Writers have gotten really stupid or something.

That is awesome! I can't wait for it, if they make this game good then it will be the adrenaline shot to the heart of the severely dying Alien series. lol

I'm really hoping I won't be disappointed.
