I think they are very smart because you see them learning from their mistakes, making traps, and using simple technology. Now about using guns. I'm not sure they seem to be almost as smart as a human but I'm not sure they would even bother with human or predator weapons.

The queen alien is ALOT better. the design was prefect and it is one of the only new things in the alien movies to work

I think its just something in between though because like I said before if it was a queen it would have four arms instead of two and we know it doesn't grow them later because the queen chestburster in Alien 3 was born with four arms.

I think the predalien isn't a queen at all. I think its just a rare mutation that almost never happens. Well if a queen dies a egg will start morphing to become a queen egg with a queen facehugger and if there's no eggs a chestburster will start morphing into a queen but the Predalien chestburster started turning into a queen half way through its normal development so it was half normal alien half queen. that would explain some things like why it didn't have four arms like all queens (and queen chestburster) and why it had a queen like head crest but couldn't lay eggs

well that's my theory. What do you guys think?
