Chapter 9 - Never Leave a Penguin Unattended

The small bird was decidedly lost in the large station. After he’d been separated from his mother at birth, he’d traveled the lands for months trying to find her, and when he saw the mass of penguins outside, he thought maybe he’d find her in here.

He’d thought he’d found his mother when he opened a pack of Doritos, but it turned out that it was just a human finger. So he’d kept rummaging through the fridge until he found a banana, two pies, a donkey and a frozen Winnie the Pooh holding a sign saying "I couldn’t take it, Piglet. I just couldn’t. Oh, Bother. –Pooh"

After finding nothing even similar to a Penguin he wondered off into the cold steel corridors. He passed through rooms of computer banks, computers, Shipley clones, whore houses and found nothing! Finito, nada, zip.

He knew he’d die if he didn’t find something, so the discovery of the gun shop lifted his little spirits to the extremes.

"Hello, little guy," said the shop owner. "What’re you doin’ down thar? Come ‘ere."

He lifted the Penguin and held him at arms length. The Penguin smiled, burped, and started to shake violently. Before the shop owner could do anything the Penguin erupted, sending the man smashing into the wall then onto the ground. He moaned in pain as he looked at his hands, full of Penguin, then screamed in fear as the shelf started to fall.

Never leave a Penguin unattended.
