Chapter 2 - The Meeting

The lumbering behemoth stepped from the shadows, her armor shining in the dim light. To her immediate right, a ten-foot green monster stepped from a cave opening, a huge spear brandished in its hands. To his immediate right, a short WY company executive stood in the light of two halogen lamps, a cigar clenched in his teeth.
The three nodded to each other. The company executive spoke first. “On behalf of Weyland-Yutani, can I interest you in a nice condo? Or maybe some time-share packages?”
The Yautja hunter growled. “You got anything in Miami? I heard the skulls are HOT down there this time of year!”
The alien queen shook her huge head. “Can we get on with this? I left the kids back at the hive, unattended. They’re probably having a party as we speak.”
The company executive shifted his cigar. “I’ll get right to the point. This planet is rich in natural resources. Especially cardboard. Do you know how hard it is to find natural cardboard these days? We’d love to harvest and mine this planet, until there’s nothing left but a barren sandbox, which we can terra-form and turn into a tropical resort, then mine and harvest, terra-form, and repeat as often as naturally-accelerated vegetation growth will allow.”
The Yautja shook his spear over his head. “I wanna hunt! I heard that there are some awesome skulls in them woods up there! I wanna chop ‘em off! CHOP ‘EM ALL OFF!! BOOYAH!!!”
The queen stretched, her chitinous armor creaking. “Well, too bad, boys. I just landed the hive here, and we just got set up. We just got sewer hook-ups, and the power’s gonna be here in a week. I’m not moving unless you make me.”
The company executive shrugged and pulled a pistol from his jacket pocket. “Then I guess we’ll have to make you move, then!”
He raised the weapon and fired it at close-proximity to the alien, aiming straight for her head. The bullet hit her armor, and bounced off, echoing off into the darkened tunnels behind the exec. He frowned. “Well, shit.”
The alien reared back. “Smooth move, ex-lax.”
She dropped forward, picked him up, and tore him in half. The hunter took a step back. “Hey, lady, I’m just here for the free food!”
She back-handed him into a wall, then grabbed him by the leg and dragged him off into the darkness. “Hunt and mine or not, this is my planet.”
The predator squawked from the dark behind her. “What about me!?”
“You’re invited for dinner. The kids’ve been cravin’ a good meal.”
“Really? What are we having?”
“You.”
“Oh. Well, shit.”
