DISSOLVE TO:

INT.   ARKENSAW.   HANGER BAY. (15 MINUTES LATER)

We DOLLY along a line of 7 Pirates.  Each is handed a new weapon by Sergeant Boa.  Now dressed in U.S.M. Marine uniforms, all tattoos and piercing temporarily removed.  They listen to Boa as he continues heís customary speech.

BOA

This is the moment youíve been waiting for all your lives!  Now
your Government expects, a new world awaits!  You dare not fail,
you must succeed.  This will be your finest hour...victory!!

PIRATES

Victory!!

The Pirates hold an upgrade of the U.S.Mís Lacrima-99 Assault Rifle.  3 vertically mounted barrels protruded from the broad firing chamber.  The upper barrel housed a standard FLAME THROWER, powered by tiny fuel cells inside the rifle butt, the center barrel a rocket powered, retractable HARPOON GUN, while the lower barrel contained a 9mm PULSE RIFLE with 40mm, pump-action GRENADE LAUNCHER.  The rifle utilized a single trigger with WEAPONS SELECTOR switch.  Also equipped with Laser Sighting and detachable Flashlight.

CLOSE UP of Kelly leaning over to Johner, glares at the weapon.

KELLY
Díyou have any idea what that is?

JOHNER

Ermm, it looks like a gun...a very big gun!

SHOT OF Tannion THRUSTING his rifle upwards.  Indiscriminately FIRES a ball of FLAME into the air, causing his shipmates to DUCK.

FELLOWS

Crazy fool, why donít you watch where you point that thing?

TANNION

Good shit!!

MARRIOT
Yeah!  Like candy to a baby.

SHOT OF Tannion pointing the weapon TOWARDS US.

TANNION

Only this was baby was born to blow you away!

KELLY
The Lacrima-101 Quad Rifle.  Sheís a Pulse Rifle, Flamethrower,
Harpoon Gun and a Grenade Launcher all in one!  They ainít even
standard issue yet.  How the Hell did they wind up down here?

JOHNER

I dunno, why donít you ask them?

QUAID

A little bird once told me that Government had a whole shipment
slip right through the net.  Why (shrugs) who can possibly say?  

JOHNER

So what happened to this little birdy?

QUAID
He got shot...actually!

KELLY (to Quaid)

Pardon me but, doesnít that make you a liability?

Quaid leans back, doesnít answer the accusation.

JOHNER (to Himself)

Oh boy, there I was thinking it couldnít get any worse.

Boa takes the last weapon.  Heís about to continue when we hear RUMBLING from the Hangers Main Entrance doors opening (O.S.).  

Everyone turns to look.

THEIR P.O.V. as Miss Kitty enters the Hanger.  Now dressed in tight fitting jeans, thin cotton T-shirt and leopard skin jacket.  She holds Cowl on his leash, followed by Shipmate Frazer.

CLOSE UP as Blake leans over to Fellows so no one else hears.  

BLAKE

Donít you just love it when a plan comes together?

FELLOWS

In your dreams boy!  Only there will you choose which kitty you
get to fuck.

BLAKE
Speak for yourself!  She worships me even in Hell.

Miss Kitty approaches Sergeant Boa.

MISS KITTY

Sergeant, have the crew been briefed?

BOA
Yes Councilor...! (hesitates)

MISS KITTY
Is there a problem Mr. Boa?

BOA

Well, your clothing is hardly-!

MISS KITTY

Suitable...yes I know!  In an effort to preserve our anonymity,
it was decided I should wear pre-war civilian clothing.  Sadly
this was all I could find.

CALL (to Herself)

Yímean Earth girls actually wore that...stuff!!

Miss Kitty turns to Frazer behind her and gives him Cowls leash.

MISS KITTY
Mr. Frazer.  I leave Cowl in your capable hands.  Please see to
it he gets his meals and regular exercise on time?

Frazer nods, Miss Kitty kneels down in front of the tiger.

She gently scratches between his ears.  He GROWLS at her affectionately.

MISS KITTY
There, there sweet Cowl.  Good boy...kiss kiss!

She kisses Cowl on his nose then turns to face Boa expectantly.

BOA (to STEALTH Crew)

Alright people, lets get on board.

HIGH ANGLED SHOT over the STEALTH Craft, as the Betty crew are lead on board by the Pirates.  We DOLLY BACK to the balcony where Ripley and Groome stand watching the proceedings.  Then 2 armed Pirates walk into frame.

RIPLEY
Well, I guess this is the part where I say good-bye!

GROOME

And youíll think about my proposal, yes?

RIPLEY

So long as you understand thatís all Iíll do, this isnít my war
Captain...it isnít even my world.

GROOME
What do you mean?

RIPLEY

Letís just say Iím not only a lot wiser than most.

As Ripley turns to leave we DOLLY FORWARD to a HIGH ANGLED SHOT of the STEALTH Craft.  

GROOMEíS P.O.V. on Ripley, as she walks to the ship, briefly turns TOWARDS US, then disappears inside.  

Groome reaches into his pocket and produces his Communicator.

GROOME
Captain to Engineering!

ENGINEER (V.O.)

Yes Captain?

GROOME
Mr. Grummond, take us up to the Launch Position!

ENGINEER (V.O.)

Aye Captain, going to Launch Position.

CUT TO:

EXT.   ARCTIC OCEAN.   DEPTH: 5000 FEET.

SIDE ANGLED SHOT of the U.S.S. Arkensaw as she slowly passes, beginning to rise while still heading out of frame.

INT.   STEALTH CRAFT.   THE HULL.

The STEALTH Craft had 12 fighter pilot seats faced frontward, 6 either side of a narrow aisle.  At the rear of the Hull is a sealed bulkhead to the ships Cargo Hold, to the front a sliding door to the Cockpit.  Though adequately lit the  windowless interior left a decidedly claustrophobic feel.

Ripley gets into her seat and straps herself in with the safety harness.  To her left sits Johner, in front of them Call and Vaughan, while behind are Kelly and Quaid.  Miss Kitty and Dr. Mellie take up the front seats of the Hull, the remaining male Pirates seated at the rear.

A message is broadcast over the STEALTHís tannoy.

BOA (V.O.)

Prepare for take-off!!

SHOT OF Johner leaning back towards Kelly

JOHNER
You wanna run that shit by me again before we die man?

KELLY
Itís a rollercoaster ride with a 4G vertical climb, followed by
zero-grav orbit, followed by re-entry with a velocity of-!

JOHNER

Forget it, I donít wanna know.

INT.   ARKENSAW.   HANGER BAY.

The STEALTH CRAFT begins to sprout thin wind-swept WINGS.  Underneath the vessels landing lights come to life, then a LOUD ROAR echoes from its vertical thrusters.

CLOSE UP of Vriess watching from his chair secured high above the hanger.  A RUMBLING sound causes him to look upwards.

VRIESSíS P.O.V. the ships HUGE bay doors begin opening outward.

The STEALTH Craft GRACEFULLY lifts from its trailer.  

We PAN UPWARDS as twin thrusters power the ship out of the Hanger up into the sky.

VRIESS

What a fuckiní machine!

EXT.   ARCTIC OCEAN.   100 FEET.

ANGLED SHOT across the Arctic, the icy North Pole in the B.G.  The STEALTH Craft gracefully rises above the Arkensaw then HOVERS.  

CLOSE UP on the rear of the OIL TANKER shaped craft.  The front and rear panels fold INWARDS revealing twin ROCKET ENGINES inside.  Its side panels slide OUTWARD forming a rudder either side.  Completing the transformation of the ship.

As the STEALTH Craft continues HOVERING the Arkensaw sinks back into the Ocean below.  

INT.   STEALTH HULL.

CLOSE UP on Johner looking decidedly uncomfortable by the second.

BOA (V.O.)

Launch sequence initiated, blast off in 10 seconds...(CONT.)

JOHNER
What the fuck!

Quaid peers over Johners shoulder.

QUAID
Relax, itís show time dude.  Enjoy the ride!

JOHNER'
Yeah, like I donít have a choice!

RIPLEY (O.S.)
Thereís always a choice...then you die.

JOHNER
I ainít even gonna ask what you mean by that.

BOA (V.O.)

...3,2,1...Launch!

CUT TO:

EXT.   ARCTIC OCEAN.   200 FEET.

REAR ANGLED SHOT as the STEALTH Crafts engines EXPLODE into life, THRUSTING the ship FORWARD.

We PAN UPWARDS as it ARCS steeply, climbing into the sky at INCREDIBLE SPEED.

CUT TO:

INT.   STEALTH HULL.

The STEALTH craft Crew holds FIRMLY onto their seats, the Hull BUFFETS and SHAKES VIOLENTLY.

CLOSE UP on Johner, his face TWISTING against the g-forces...finally he loses his composure.

JOHNER (ECHO into CUT)

AAARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

SMASH CUT TO:

EXT.   EARTH.   50,000 FEET.

PANNING UPWARDS as the STEALTH Craft SPEEDS past us, its engines release a DEAFENING ROAR as it heads into space.

CUT TO:

EXT.   TERRAN ISLAND.   THE RIVER.

Lauren and Maisy continue walking along the riverbank.  They take turns carrying the Little Girl, her hair and skin now cleaned up, wearing a T-shirt from underneath Maisyís garb.

LAUREN
Itís good of you to lend Amy your shirt Maisy.

MAISY
Donít thank me just yet.  If it gets any colder I may just take
it back.

LAUREN

You wouldnít would you...surely not?

MAISY
Just kidding Lauren.  Why do you keep calling her Amy anyway?

LAUREN
Something a friend told me...thatís all I can say really!

MAISY

Fair enough I suppose!

Maisy stops to rest, placing the Little Girl beside a tree stump.

MAISY
Yíknow, Iím not so sure this is such a good idea.

LAUREN

But we agreed!!  We take the little one to the hospital then we
call for help?  This is important Maisy-!

MAISY
Ok ok...forget I mentioned it!

Thereís a short pause.

LAUREN

Listen...do you hear that?

MAISY
I donít hear anything.  

LAUREN

Exactly!  The birds, they donít sing no more...not anywhere!

MAISY

Well, at least that storm put an end to the fires.

LAUREN
Yeah I guess so...it just seems so weird-!

MAISY

Oh my God, (points towards river) look!!

MAISYíS P.O.V. towards the far riverbank.  We see a body lying face-down in the mud, legs dangling in the water...the body of a NUN.

They run to the edge of the bank SHOUTING and SCREAMING.  The Nun doesnít respond.

LAUREN

Weíve gotta help her, she may be badly wounded-!

MAISY

No, Iíll go!  You stay here with the kid.

LAUREN
Be careful Maisy, that current maybe stronger than it looks.

MAISY
Stop worrying Iíll be fine!  Just watch by back ok?

LAUREN

Ok!

Maisy picks up a long piece of deadwood nearby and heads for the riverbank.

WIDE ANGLED SHOT across the river. Maisy carefully steps off the muddy bank into the water.  She begins wading to the other side, using the stick to guide her.

LAUREN (distant O.S.)
And watch out for the snakes!

WIDE ANGLED SHOT (CONT.) as Maisy continues across the river.   Soon the water becomes waist high, she stops hesitantly.

LAUREN (distant O.S.)
Are you alright?  Do you need any help?

MAISY

What I need right now young lady you certainly canít provide.

LAUREN (distant O.S.)

Sorry, what did you say?

MAISY

I said, what I need right now are a few prayers...ok!

Lauren puts her hands together, closes her eyes and begins praying quietly.

Maisy eventually reaches the far riverbank, she approaches the nun still lying motionless.

CLOSE UP of Lauren almost instinctively opening her eyes.

LAURENíS P.O.V. sees Maisy bending over the motionless figure.  She turns TOWARDS US giving a Ďthumbs upí sign.  Without warning the seemingly lifeless nun suddenly RISES, SPINS Maisy round and PUNCHES her in the chest.  Maisy slumps to the ground, her body slides down the bank into the water.

SHOT OF on Lauren, HORRIFIED!!

LAUREN

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

LAURENíS P.O.V. as the nun turns TOWARDS US.  Her face concealed behind a black veil.  The Black Nun holds out her right hand, covered in blood...then drops MAISYíS HEART!

Lauren runs over and GRABS the Little Girl, then begins heading away down the riverbank.

ANGLED SHOT as the Black Nun begins wading through the water TOWARDS US.

RISING DOLLY SHOT as Lauren continues running we CLIMB over the surrounding trees, through a crevasse in the hills.  About half a mile away stands the Convent, surrounded by a sea of gold in the morning light...the CORN FIELDS.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT.  HIGH EARTH ORBIT.

The Earth fills half the screen, stars twinkling in the B.G.  The STEALTH Craft slowly glides into frame, maneuvered by gas propellants along its hull.  

INT.   STEALTH COCKPIT.

Boa and Marriot occupy the front seats of the cramped Cockpit, Nathaniel acts as navigator just behind.  There are no windows, instead an array of monitors and dials appear to be their only eyes.

MARRIOT

Coming up on vector now Sir.

BOA

Pressure stable, orientation in line.  Switching to Manual!

The crew feels a slight JOLT as Boa flicks the Autopilot switch above him.

MARRIOT
Autopilot dis-engaged, all lights are green.

BOA
Prepare for STEALTH Mode on my command...activate!

Marriot PUSHES on a LEAVER beside him, the cockpit fills with a dim red light.

EXT.  HIGH EARTH ORBIT.

As the STEALTH Craft passes it SLOWLY DISAPPEARS from sight, until only its distinct outline remains visible to the naked eye.

INT.  STEALTH HULL.

CLOSE UP on Johner and Ripley, the same red light from the Cockpit also fills the Hull.

JOHNER

Now what?

KELLY (O.S.)
Weíre cloaked man thatís all.

RIPLEY

Stealth Mode, wonder where they learned to pull that off?

JOHNER

Well, they didnít get it from me!

RIPLEY
Yes I know.

CLOSE UP (CONT.) as Tannion unexpectedly leans into frame over Johner.

TANNION

Quit yerí whining dick brain, before I bleed you myself!

Johner turns to confront Tannion then STOPS.

CLOSE UP of Call staring at him, shaking her head.

Johner then turns away.

RIPLEY (to Johner)
Now whoís worrying too much.

JOHNER

Yeah well, I hate being outta control, makes me nervous!

RIPLEY
Me too.  Question is...who really is in control?

CUT TO:

EXT.   SPACE.

A multitude of stars fills the screen.  Suddenly a large stubby spacecraft appears from out of the void.  We PAN LEFT as the Supply Ship ROARS past, on course for Earth in the distance.

INT.   STEALTH COCKPIT.

Boa and Marriot attach EXTERNAL VISORS, like 3D VR headsets, over their heads.  Linked to a network of external cameras, the Visor allows them to see around the ship in any direction.

BOAíS P.O.V. through the EXTERNAL VISOR sees the Earth just below an endless star field, the visors GREEN Head Up Display shows the crafts speed, position and other information.  
 
NATHANIEL

Contact!  Incoming to port, 33 degrees, range 200 kilometers...
should have visual any second.    

BOAíS P.O.V. as he looks LEFT then slowly ZOOMíS IN on the indicated co-ordinates.  A small blip appears with a GREEN INDICATOR around it.  
There she is...I see her.  

MARRIOT (O.S.)
Setting intercept course.  Glide pattern delta.      

BOA
Mr. Nathaniel, any sign of that E.R.V.?

NATHANIEL (O.S.)
No Sir!  My bet is sheís still way over on the dark side-!

BOA

Your bet is not enough Nathaniel.  Just keep looking.

MARRIOT
Course is set.  Ready to engage Sergeant.  

BOA
Full speed ahead Mr. Marriot!

MARRIOT
Aye Sergeant, full ahead.

MARRIOTíS P.O.V. as he maneuvers the STEALTH into the path of the incoming Supply Ship.  When the vessel is directly ahead a RED CIRCLE targets it.  He then powers up the STEALTHíS THRUSTERS and we begin moving TOWARDS IT.

CUT TO:

EXT.   TERRAN ISLAND.  THE FORREST/CORN FIELDS. (LATER)

DOLLY SHOT over nearby trees towards the Convent.  Slowly DESCENDING to LOW ANGLED SHOT right inside the Corn Fields.  MOVING FORWARDS, suddenly Lauren DARTS out ahead of us, we CONTINUE TRACKING behind her, turning LEFT then RIGHT through a maze of tall strands.

REVERSE TRACKING SHOT as Lauren continues.  Still carrying the Little Girl, she eventually comes to a STOP somewhere in the middle of the fields.  

LAURENíS P.O.V. SPINNING LEFT then RIGHT while breathing heavily.  Still nothing comes out to challenge her.

CLOSE UP on Lauren TERRIFIED.  We hear WHISPERING sounds from the grass.  

LAUREN

Please, just leave us alone...!!

Lauren begins running again, quickly gathers pace as she sees SOMETHING far ahead.

TRACKING SHOT as she RUNS towards the far side of the Corn Fields, there is an OPENING filled with light.  She eventually reaches the opening.

LAURENíS P.O.V. LOOKING UPWARDS sees a stone-pebbled embankment.  No more than 30 yards away stands the Inner Perimeter Fence.

EXT.   EMBANKMENT. (CONT.)

HIGH ANGLED SHOT as Lauren CLIMBS up the embankment to the Security Gate.  The Convent is also surrounded by 2 100 foot tall security fences, a narrow grass verge runs round the outer fence.

Lauren carefully lays the unconscious Little Girl on the ground, searches her garb for the security keys.  She eventually unlocks and opens the Security Gate.

Picking up the Little Girl Lauren looks down towards the Corn Fields.

LAURENíS P.O.V. the Black Nun stands at the opening staring TOWARDS US!

As Lauren stares back at her the Little Girl appears behind.

Lauren turns to face her.

LITTLE GIRL

Are--are you my Mommy?

LAUREN

No!  Iím just a friend really.  I'm here to help-!

The Little Girl sees the Black Nun.  She quickly grabs tightly onto Lauren.

LITTLE GIRL

She wants to hurt me, please donít let her hurt me?

LAURENíS P.O.V. as the Black Nun starts CLIMBING up the embankment.

LAUREN (to Little Girl)
Go, go on!!

EXT.   INNER PERIMETER. (CONT.)

The Little Girl runs through the gate into the Perimeter, Lauren quickly follows her.

As Lauren SLAMS the gate shut, the Black Nun suddenly LEAPS onto the gate, SHAKING it violently while Lauren STRUGGLES to keep it shut.

LAUREN

Help me****please****I canít hold on-!!

We PAN DOWN the Security Fence past a sign reading:

DANGER!

HIGH VOLTAGE SECURITY FENCE.
10,000 VOLTS.

PLEASE KEEP OFF!

CLOSE UP as Lauren manages to PUSH the LOCKING BOLT across, then steps back.

The Black Nun continues to CLING to the Security Gate, SHAKING it WILDLY, trying to FORCE it off its hinges.

Suddenly the Little Girl THROWS herself against a lever below the warning sign, PUSHING the lever DOWN.  

SHOT OF The Black Nun THROWN BACK as the fence is ELECTRIFIED.  White-hot sparks fly in all directions, the whole fence emits a LOUD CRACKLING noise.

She lands right on the edge of the embankment.

CLOSE UP of Lauren and the Little Girl just stood there...watching.

The Black Nun doesnít move, her gown smoldering from the intense heat of the electric shock.   Then slowly she recovers, gets up and slowly walks back to (but doesnít touch) the Security Gate.

Lauren and the Little Girl reverse back to the Inner Gate of the Perimeter.

LAUREN

Who are you...what do you want with us??

CLOSE UP of The Black Nun.  Slowly she removes her headdress, and the black veil concealing her identity.  Then we see who she is...ANOTHER RIPLEY!!  

Lauren drops to her knees.

LAUREN

No...it canít be...NOOOOOOOO!!

Ripley 2 smiles at Lauren, then turns away and walks back down into the Corn Fields.

The Little Girl goes to Lauren, strokes her hair gently.

LITTLE GIRL
Please donít cry, itíll be alright now.

LAUREN

Amy, are you alright, are you hurt?

LITTLE GIRL

You called me Amy.  Is that my name?

LAUREN

Yes...yes it is.  

LITTLE GIRL

Itís her isnít it sheís my Mommy, she hates me!

LAUREN

I donít know, I really donít.  But she canít hurt you now.

Lauren takes the Little Girlís hand again.  Together they go through the Inner Gate, begin the short walk to the NORTH ENTRANCE of the Convent.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT.   EARTHíS ATMOSPHERE.

WIDE ANGLED SHOT high above the Earth.  The Supply Ship ROARS past us, beginning its gradual descent through the planets atmosphere.

CUT TO:

INT.   STEALTH COCKPIT.

BOAíS P.O.V through the VISOR.  The Supply Ship still far ahead, now targeted by a FLASHING BLUE CIRCLE, it glows BRIGHTLY from the effects of re-entry.

NATHANIEL (O.S.)
Range 10 kilometers.  Closing fast.  

BOA
Commencing re-entry in 5 seconds.

Thereís a short pause.

BOA (CONT.)
This is it Gentlemen.

Suddenly the Cockpit begins to SHUDDER VIOLENTLY, both Pirates STRUGGLING to keep control with their joysticks.

MARRIOT

What the Hellís happening?

BOA

Keep her steady man.  Adjust power to the forward shields!

Marriot flicks a switch above him.

NATHANIEL (O.S.)
Range 7 kilometers and closing.

BOA
Canít see a bloody thing here.

MARRIOT
Switching to thermal imaging.

BOAíS P.O.V. the view quickly switches to a negative outline of the ship.

His RIGHT hand quickly grabs a separate control stick.

MARRIOT (O.S.)
Coming out of re-entry in 3 minutes.

BOA
Switching to Targeting Device.

BOAíS P.O.V. using the Control Stick (O.S.), he prepares to target a small Port beneath the  Supply Ship with a white CROSS-HAIR on screen.  

NATHANIEL (O.S.)
5 kilometers...4...Almost in range, 2...1.  Go for lock-on.

BOAíS P.O.V. (CONT.) as the Supply Ship closes he targets the small circular Port.  The CROSS-HAIR locks on and FLASHES GREEN.  The Supply Shipís thermal image reverts back to normal.

BOA

Target locked, docking any time now.

BOAíS P.O.V. automatically switches to the rear of the STEALTH.  A Connecting Funnel steadily RISES above the Hull.  At 2 meters the viewpoint switches again to INVERTED SHOT from inside the Funnel.  A 2nd CROSS-HAIR appears which Boa must align with the Port to bring the 2 ships together.

CLOSE UP of Boaís hand moving the joystick.  Using it to maneuver the Connecting Funnel while Marriot continues to steady the ship.    

THRASHING crosswinds continue BUFFETING the ship, making it more difficult.  

BOAíS P.O.V. he MISSES the connection first time.

CLOSE UP on Boa as he tries again, shaking his head with frustration.

BOA

Dammit...this is impossible!!

CUT TO:

INT.  STEALTH HULL.

Inside the Hull the SHUDDERING continues, gradually getting worse.

RIPLEY (to Johner)
Somethingís wrong!

JOHNER

How can you tell.

RIPLEY
I can feel it.

Ripley removes her safety harness, pulls herself up with the support rail above.

SHOT OF Blake and Fellows quickly RISING from their seats, pointing their weapons at Ripley.

FELLOWS

Hey, where díya think yer goiní?

Miss Kitty then gets up and turns towards Ripley.

RIPLEY (to Miss Kitty)

Weíre in trouble!!

MISS KITTY
Trouble?

RIPLEY
Your people...theyíve never done this before, right?

MISS KITTY
Neither have you!!

RIPLEY

Maybe...but I can help them.  Iím a pilot!

At that point the SHUDDERING temporarily subsides.

SHOT OF Call leaning forward.  

CALL

Sheís right, you better listen to her.

MISS KITTY
Youíre a pilot?

RIPLEY
Yes!

Miss Kitty hesitates, then THUMBS an Intercom switch on the hull.

MISS KITTY (into COM)
Whatís happening Sergeant?

BOA (V.O.)

Nothing to worry about just turbulence thatís all, everythingís
under control.

The STEALTH Craft is BUFFETED again, almost knocking Ripley off her feet.

RIPLEY

Turbulence my ass, dammit theyíre gonna bounce us right off the
fucking stratosphere!  

Miss Kitty makes a hand signal, Fellows and Blake lower their weapons and sit back down.  She opens the sliding door to the cockpit and enters.  Ripley quickly follows her.

Suddenly Call jumps from her seat and heads for the door.

Fellows and Blake quickly rise again...TOO LATE.  Call quickly disappears inside the cockpit, the door closing behind her.

Boa and Marriot remove their Visors, turn to see Miss Kitty, Ripley then Call behind them.

What the Hellís going on?

Miss Kitty (to Marriot and Nathaniel)

Out...now!!

They quickly leave the cockpit without looking at Boa.

MISS KITTY (CONT.)
Iím relieving you from your post Mr. Boa, before you get us all
killed!!

BOA

So whoís gonna fly the ship...you??

Miss Kitty briefly looks towards Ripley.

BOA

Her??  No way Councilor.

MISS KITTY
I am in command here, and you will obey.

BOA

Iím not going anywhere!

Miss Kitty suddenly produces a PISTOL from behind her back, points it at Boaís head.

BOA
What is this, a fuckiní mutiny?

MISS
Orders Sergeant Boa...my orders!  

BOA

Orders you say!  Well, let me tell you something, I answer only
to the Captain the men answer only to me.  And you Councilor...
youíre Ďnothingí!!

EXTREME CLOSE UP as Miss Kitty PULLS back the TRIGGER.

MISS KITTY
I wonít ask you again Sergeant!

Thereís a short pause, Boa nervously considers his predicament.

He rises from his seat and turns to face Ripley.

BOA

You got 1 minute sweet bitch.  After that we pull out, and then
weíre all gonna die.

Boa leaves the cockpit, brushing by Calls shoulder on his way out.

CALL
What does he mean by that?

MISS KITTY
Nothing, just Pirate-talk thatís all!  (looks at Ripley) Youíre
sure you can handle this thing?

RIPLEY
Letís find out shall we!

MISS KITTY
But I thought you said-??

The STEALTH Craft is suddenly BUFFETED again.

CALL

Look, can we hurry this up a little, people are dying here!

Ripley straps herself into Boaís seat, pulls on the Visor as Miss Kitty takes the other.  

INT.  STEALTH HULL.

Johner sits nervously looking up to the ceiling, eyes closed.  Boa appears beside him, he almost instinctively opens his eyes.

CLOSE UP as Boa holds up his sheath knife, playing his index finger over the sharp tip.  A tiny stream of his blood runs down one side of the blade.

BOA

That bitch of yours.  Sometimes she pushes me too close.

JOHNER
You wanna know something?

Boa doesnít answer.

JOHNER (CONT.)
She ainít my bitch actually.  Wanna know something else?

BOA

What else?

JOHNER
I said the same thing to myself once.  Until I saw she ate bugs
for breakfast.

BOA

Bugs...breakfast??

Johner looks away.

JOHNER

Nevermind, forget I mentioned it!

CUT TO:

EXT.   EARTHíS ATMOSPHERE.

PANNING LEFT as the Supply Ship ROARS past again, still streaming hot gases in its wake.

CUT TO:

INT.   STEALTH COCKPIT.

RIPLEYíS P.O.V. through the Visor sees the INVERTED SHOT from the Funnel.  The 2 CROSS-HAIRS dance senselessly around the screen as the Cockpit continues to SHUDDER VIOLENTLY.  

MISS  KITTY (O.S.)
Coming out of re-entry in 30 seconds.  

RIPLEY
Címon you bastard...hook up...hook up!!

CALL (O.S.)
Ripley, weíre running outta time!!

MISS KITTY
20 seconds...itís now or never Ripley!

RIPLEYíS P.O.V. slowly ZOOMING IN on the Port as the Supply Ship gets CLOSER and CLOSER.

MISS KITTY (O.S.)
15 seconds.

RIPLEYíS P.O.V. (CONT.) the Funnel rubs AGONISINGLY against the rim of the Port, the 2 CROSS-HAIRS begin to stabalize...then it slips away.
Blast it, they should never have given me back my license!

CALL
What?

MISS KITTY (O.S.)
10 seconds 8,7...(CONT.)!

RIPLEYíS P.O.V. the Funnel brushes against the Port again, but this time the CROSS-HAIRS meet.  With 2 seconds to spare, both Port and Funnel finally CONNECT.

The BUFFETING and SHAKING ceases, the Cockpit fills with BLUE lighting again.

CALL

You did it!

Ripley removes her Visor and everyone breathes a sigh of relief.

CUT TO:

EXT.   EARTH.   70,000 FEET.   MORNING.

ANGLED SHOT high above the clouds PANNING DOWN as the Supply Ship comes out of re-entry.  The nose of the ship slowly rising as it assumes a gradual descent.  

INT.   STEALTH HULL/FUNNEL.

Boa quickly moves to the front of the Hull, retrieves a small SATCHEL from a locker beside the Cockpit Door.

BOA

Letís disembark we land in 7 minutes!  You men at the back grab
all the equipment you can carry.  These people (indicates Betty
Crew) will help you.

He reaches up and PULLS down a handle on the ceiling.  A hatchway drops downwards releasing a ladder into the Funnel above.  

TRACKING SHOT as Boa climbs up the Funnel to the Supply Ships hatch.  He PUNCHES a large button and a panel FLIPS open revealing a KEYPAD.  Boa types in the code, the hatch opens, he climbs inside and out of frame.

INT.   STEALTH HULL.

The Pirates begin unloading various sized boxes from the ships Cargo Hold.  The contents  placed into large packpacks, which are sealed and handed to the Betty Crew then each other.

Tannion and Marriot are first up the ladder after Boa.

Once they are out of sight Johner is signaled to go next, followed by Kelly, Quaid then Vaughan.  

SHOT OF Ripley and Call emerging from the cockpit with Miss Kitty.

CUT TO:

INT.   SUPPLY SHIP.   MAIN DECK.

We slowly DOLLY AWAY from Johner as he emerges from the hatch into the Supply Ship.  Inside   are various containers and other mechanical gadgets scattered around.  We PAN RIGHT towards 5 HUGE vehicles CLAMPED to the deck, taking up nearly a quarter of the space.  

The Supply Trucks are like over-sized Dump Trucks, with 40-foot long trailers on 12 cast iron wheels nearly 7 feet in diameter.  A single frame glass windscreen wrapped right around the front of the cabin.  Wide enough to seat half a dozen passengers, each cabin is coupled to its trailer beneath a protective hood, allowing access from one end of the vehicle to the other.  

JOHNER
Wow man, Iím impressed!

INT.   STEALTH HULL/FUNNEL.

Now with a backpack each, Ripley and Call are next up the Funnel.  Followed by Miss Kitty then the rest of the Pirates.

CUT TO:

EXT.   EARTH.   10,000 FEET. (CLOUDY)

WIDE ANGLED SHOT as the Supply Ship passes through the clouds, only to be greeted by a thick bank of fog hovering over the sea.      

INT.   SUPPLY SHIP.   MAIN DECK/FUNNEL.

DROP SHOT inside the Funnel as Samuel (last) makes his way up the ladder.  Suddenly we here a CRUNCHING sound.  The whole Funnel begins to SHUDDER!  Samuel stops and immediately panics.

SAMUEL
What the devil was that?

BOA (O.S. to Samuel)

Just hurry it up man!

CLOSE UP as a CRACK in the Funnel wall begins rapidly SPREADING.

The Funnel begins to SWAY SIDEWAYS.

SAMUEL

Sheís breaking loose...help me Sergeant, help me!!

CALL (O.S.)
For Godís sake somebody help him!

Boa briefly HESITATES on hearing Samuels' desperate cries, then leans down into the Funnel to help his stricken Shipmate.

BOA
Climb up as far as you can.

DROP SHOT inside the Funnel, the SHUDDERING increases, Samuel somehow manages to climb onto the last step, reaches for Boa hand just as the Funnel TEARS away from the ship.  He CLINGS onto the hatchway, feet dangling outside the ship, as Boa grabs him. (O.S.)  

SAMUEL

I canít hold on...!

BOA
Stop blathering man Iíve got you!!

Boa reaches down and pulls Samuel to safety then goes to seal the hatch.  He briefly looks down through the opening.

BOAíS P.O.V. far below we see a tiny spray of water as the invisible STEALTH Craft CRASHES into the sea 1000ís of feet below.

Boa seals the Hatch then turns to face the others, already staring towards him.

BOA

What the Hell are you all stariní at??

QUAID
In case you never noticed dude, there goes our ride home!

TANNION

Now we are all well and truly done for!

Thereís a short pause.

BOA

We are not finished yet Mr. Tannion.  Until then, we go on!

RIPLEY

Somehow I doubt your precious Captain will see it that way.

CLOSE UP on Boa as he stares back at Ripley cursively, but saying nothing.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT.   SOUTH ATLANTIC.   2,000 FEET.

WIDE ANGLED SHOT as the Supply Ship levels off over the Atlantic Ocean.  We PAN RIGHT as it ROARS past, heading towards Terran Island in the distance.  The islands hills barely visible through a thick veil of fog.

CUT T0:

INT.   SUPPLY SHIP.    MAIN DECK.

Boa produces a set of keys from his satchel.  He climbs up the side of one of the Supply Trucks, enters another code on the keypad door and gets into the cabin.

He disappears for a few seconds then leans out of the cabin door.

BOA
Alright everybody in!!

TANNION
You sure thereís enough room Sarge?

BOA
5 in the front the rest in the trailer, címon lets go!

One-by-one they begin climbing up to the cabin in the same order they entered the Supply Ship.

CLOSE UP as Blake leans towards Fellows so no one else hears.

BLAKE

Tell me am I dreaming, or does this just seem all too easy?

FELLOWS
With any luck the rest will be easy too eh?

BLAKE

There is no luck my friend, follow your senses in your quest to
thwart the Eye of the Beholder.  Then...maybe you too will live
forever!

FELLOWS

Your senses will guide you to oblivion Blake.

BLAKE
Oblivion?  I know of no such place.

FELLOWS
You will if you keep talking like that, you mark my words.

We DOLLY UP with Ripley when itís her turn to climb up to the cabin.  She reaches the top and looks inside.

INT.   SUPPLY TRUCK.   CABIN. (CONT.)

RIPLEYíS P.O.V. behind the cabins 2 front seats.  A drivers seat occupied by Marriot and a 4-seater for the passengers with Tannion and Nathaniel.  The driving mechanism is like any other.  The dashboard displayed the usual functions while to the floor is an automatic gear lever, with 2 pedals for the accelerator and break.

CLOSE UP as Ripley moves towards the EXIT door to the trailer.  Suddenly Boa steps out from the door to block her path.

BOA

Not that way, youíre stayiní in the front with me!

RIPLEY

Whatever!

Ripley releases her backpack, climbs between the seats and sits alongside Tannion and Nathaniel.  Boa joins her taking up the end space.

CUT TO:

EXT.   TERRAN ISLAND.

WIDE ANGLED SHOT of Terran Island, still barely visible through the mist.  The Supply Ship ROARS past us overhead, into the fog fading from sight.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT.   TERRAN CONVENT.   CORRIDOR/THE CHAPEL. (VOICE ECHO)

TRACKING SHOT behind Lauren and the Little Girl running up to HUGE wooden doors shaped like an arch.  Lauren PUSHES the CHAPEL doors open and we CONTINUE inside, THROUGH the aisle, right up to the Alter at the far end.

Like an old Victorian Church with HUGE stonewalls and columns, the Chapel is surrounded by TALL stained glass windows with row upon row of wooden benches.

Lauren and the Little Girl step up onto the Alter.

LAUREN

Mother, where are you....anybody...please??

Thereís a long pause, but all we hear are Lauren's words ECHOING all around.

Slowly she sinks to her knees, Amy appears beside her.

LAUREN

So tired my Lord...canít go on anymore...so sleepy...so-!

CLOSE UP on Lauren, her eyes ROLLING backwards she COLLAPSES with exhaustion.

DROP SHOT slowly ZOOMING IN over Lauren lying on the Alter.  The Little Girl gets down beside and huddles up to her, then slowly falls asleep.

FADE TO BLACK:

FADE IN:

EXT.   TERRAN ISLAND.   LANDING PLATFORM. (LATER)

WIDE ANGLED SHOT over the disused Landing Platform on Terran Island.  Surrounded by a thick bank of FOG, the Supply Ship SLOWLY drops into frame.  POWERFUL thrusters ignite then the vessels HUGE landing gear lowers.  The ship gracefully touches down one side of the platform.

Part of the platform, directly beneath the Supply Ship, begins to SINK downwards taking the ship with it.  When the Supply Ship disappears inside the deck is re-sealed.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT.   FREIGHT ELEVATOR SHAFT. (CONT.)

Slowly PANNING DOWN as the Freight Elevator continues into the dark depths of Terran Island.  The Elevator Shaft is cylindrical, dimly lit, covered in rusted steel, with a strange thick vapour rising from below.  On the far side is a second Freight Elevator, both held together by a complex structure of iron support beams.

INT.   SUPPLY TRUCK.   CABIN.

CLOSE UP on Ripley, seemingly in deep thought as Tannion leans close to her.

TANNION

Tell me something Missy, are ya scared?

RIPLEY

Not at all...what about you?

TANNION

Being down here in a place I donít want to be...of course!  But
then, unlike you, I got a reputation to think about.

RIPLEY
Your Captain is tenacious.  I donít think he would endanger any
of your lives if it wasnít necessary.

MARRIOT

Then you have much to learn about Old Groomy!

Ripley turns her attention to Boa, sat the other side of her.

RIPLEY (to Boa)
So how long before we reach the tunnel?

BOA

Not long!

RIPLEY

Thatís what I thought.  

CUT TO:

INT.   FREIGHT ELEVATOR SHAFT. (LATER)

ANGLED SHOT as the Landing Platform eventually reaches the Supply Tunnel, the Elevator Shaft continuing into the island.  We stop outside a HUGE door made of 6 foot thick steel labeled:

TUNNEL GATE.
(NORTH)
UNAUTHORISED ACCESS PROHIBITED!

INT.   SUPPLY SHIP.    MAIN DECK.

REAR ANGLED SHOT of the Supply Trucks.  Amber lights begin FLASHING along the ceiling as a long SIDE DOOR opens on the far side of the deck.  

The Supply Truckís HEAD LAMPS come to life, then we HEAR the sound of its engines ROARING.

INT.   SUPPLY TRUCK.   CABIN.

Tannion is briefly startled as the cabin SHUDDERS slightly.  He quickly moves his hands from the steering wheel.

MARRIOT

Whoa, what did I do?

BOA

You didnít do anything Mr. Marriot...weíre on the move.

INT.   SUPPLY SHIP.    MAIN DECK.

CLOSE UP on the front wheels of the Supply Truck as they begin turning.  We DOLLY BACK and PAN RIGHT with the vehicle as it slowly drives itself out of the Supply Ship, followed closely by  the others in single file.

INT.   FREIGHT ELEVATOR SHAFT.

WIDE ANGLED SHOT as the Tunnel Gate RUMBLES open.  The lead Supply Truck comes into frame, we DOLLY with it into the Supply Tunnel.  Like the Service Shaft, the Tunnel is dark, cylindrical and covered in thick rusted steel.

INT.   SUPPLY TRUCK CABIN.

TANNION

Donít these things go any faster?

RIPLEY
Guess not! (looks at Boa) How long before we reach that Command
Station?

Boa doesnít answer.

MARRIOT

At our current speed, I would say 15 minutes at least.

RIPLEY (to Boa)

There now, that wasnít so bad was it?

Boa turns to look at Ripley, giving her a filthy look.

INT.   SUPPLY TUNNEL.

WIDE ANGLED SHOT as the lead Supply Truck slowly passes overhead like a giant space ship, heading into the dark depths of the Tunnel.

CUT TO:

INT.   TERRAN ISLAND.   SUPPLY TUNNEL. (15 MINUTES LATER)

We see the lights of the approaching trucks.  To the RIGHT of the tunnel a narrow recess leads to a sealed pressure door.

INT.   SUPPLY TRUCK CABIN.

CLOSE UP on Boa now wearing a small headset.

BOA
This whole tunnel is protected by sweeper system that intervals
at 90 seconds. (into Headset) Mr. Blake, open the back doors.

INT.   TERRAN SUPPLY TUNNEL.

TRACKING SHOT behind the lead Supply Truck.  Its trailers doors suddenly SWING open.

INT.   SUPPLY TRUCK TRAILER.

The STEALTH Crew quickly make their way between large containers to the rear of the vehicle.

BLAKE (to Others)
On my signal we jump and head for the Pressure Door.

CALL

Jump...thatís a 6 foot drop-?

BLAKE

Alright, go, go, go...!

Call suddenly feels a PUSH behind her.

ANGLED SHOT as Call DROPS onto the deck just managing to land on her feet.  Then quickly runs out from the on-coming Supply Truck just behind.

INT.   TERRAN SUPPLY TUNNEL.

Tannion is the first to JUMP from the Cabin.  We TRACK behind him as he RUNS towards the recess in the Tunnel followed by the others.

Everyone gathers round Boa as he steps up to the Command Stationís Pressure Door.  He produces the Security Card, SLIDES it along a groove beside the door...but NOTHING HAPPENS!!

JOHNER (O.S.)
Shit...just open the Goddam door man!

Boa tries again the Security Card, still the door doesnít open.

BOA

Damn thing wonít open, weíre locked out!

RIPLEY
How can we be locked out if no one knows weíre here?

CALL (O.S.)
Maybe the powerís off or something!

Thereís a brief pause, Boa scratches his head desperately trying to think.

CLOSE UP of Tannion turning TOWARDS US.

He starts to walk away from the others, in the direction the Supply Trucks continued.

NATHANIEL (O.S.)
Anybody got any ideas?

JOHNER (O.S.)
No offence, I thought that was your department!

CLOSE UP on Quaid as he steps forward, then leans over towards Boa.

QUAID (to Boa)

This is a 12 pin key-code terminal right?

BOA
So, so what??

QUAID

So dude!  Get me a screwdriver, a blade, then give me some room
here.  I can do this.

JOHNER (to Boa)
You better give the man what he wants!  If anyone can open that
door its Quaid.

Boa signals to Marriot, who releases his backpack and brings out some tools.

Quaid selects a screwdriver, unscrews the keypad from the wall.  He pulls out several wires, then begins cutting and splicing certain ones together as Boa watches mesmerized.

CLOSE UP of Tannion, stood staring down the Tunnel, then Blake appears beside him.

BLAKE

Whatís on yer mind brother?

TANNION

I thought I saw something.

BLAKE
Where?

TANNION
Down there, (points down Tunnel) in the tunnel.

Blake produces a small pair of binoculars from his trouser pocket and looks in the indicated direction.

BLAKEíS P.O.V. through the binoculars in NIGHT-VISION.  We see the BRIGHT rear of the last Supply Truck heading away down the tunnel.  But nothing else seems out of the ordinary.

BLAKE
I hate to disappoint you my friend, but I see nothing out there.
Perhaps your eyes are up to their old tricks again eh?

Thereís a short pause.

TANNION

I suppose youíre right.

BLAKE

Of course I am.

They turn and head back towards the others.

QUAID
Almost there folks.

MARRIOT

Hurry up man, that sweeper will be over us any second.

Quaid carefully touches the remaining bare wires together causing a SPARK.  Suddenly the Pressure Door HISSES open STARTLING everyone.  

INT.   COMMAND STATION (CONT.)

Slowly PULLING BACK from the open pressure door to WIDE ANGLED SHOT of the Command Station.   Boa and Marriot quickly enter followed by the others.  Itís much darker than before, shutters closed, a distinct HUMMING sound in the B.G.  

They locate a circular steel plate, 5 feet in diameter, in the floor.  Marriot produces a special tool from his backpack and begins unscrewing the plate.

We CLOSE UP on Ripley as she looks around curiously, slowly making her way unnoticed over to the steps near the shutters.

Boa removes the plate revealing a HATCH 3 feet down with 2 leavers in the center.  He leans inside, places the same security card into a slot between the levers, then turns them both  simultaneously.  We hear a sharp CLANKING (opening) sound, but again..NOTHING HAPPENS.

CLOSE UP of Boa as he tries a second time, but STILL the Hatch remains closed.  

Then Miss Kitty appears beside him as he tries again.

Miss Kitty

Whatís wrong now Sergeant?

BOA

I donít know Councilor!!  The hatch definitely unlocked but--as
you can see--it wonít open!

MISS KITTY

You mean itís jammed?

RIPLEY (O.S.)
Weíve been cut off.

BOA
How the Hell do you know?

Then Ripley turns to face the others.

RIPLEY

These shutters are sealed!!  Severed from the main grid to stop
anything getting in or out.  Only the main computer can do that,
but then the whole island wouldíve been alerted, and weíd never
have gotten past security.

TANNION
Ok, so what does all that mean?

RIPLEY
It means Call was right, something did cut the power.  Whatever
it was is affected several vital systems, so when the Emergency
Power kicked in, not everything worked as it should.

MISS KITTY
Youíre suggesting someone else is here?

RIPLEY
Iím not suggesting anything yet.

BLAKE

The Military...itís gotta be...itís a trap-?

BOA

Itís not the Military, they would be all over us by now.  Gotta
be a problem with one of the Generators.

TANNION
So what do we do now?

BOA
Well Ďobviouslyí we have to try and fix it!

RIPLEY
Where are the Power Generators?

Boa removes a slim black case from his Satchel, opens and places it on the floor.  The TERMINAL is the equivalent of a lap top PC.  He begins typing on the keyboard.

We CLOSE UP on the Terminal Screen.  A fully rendered 3D SCHEMATIC of the Convent appears, including all its sub levels (but NOT the Hospital or Secret Passages).  To the LEFT a window contains a list of locations.  Boa scrolls through the list then selects POWER GENERATORS.  We DOLLY THROUGH the image to the location, CONTINUING down a vertical shaft running beneath the Convent, connected to an ĎEí shaped compartment.  

BOA

Beneath the complex sub level 2.  Almost right above us.  

LOW ANGLED SHOT on Call stood unnoticed by a wall directly opposite the pressure door.  Curiously she PRESSES along stretches of the wall.  

MARRIOT (O.S.)
Thatís a long drop, 100 meters at least.

BLAKE (O.S.)
Looks like itís vaccum sealed too.

TANNION (O.S.)
If only we could find a way to it.

BOA (O.S.)
There is no other way...unless you prefer a long walk up to the
main gates on the surface.

LOW ANGLED SHOT (CONT.) suddenly a small section of the wall SINKS downwards with a LOW HUM.

SHOT OF everyone SPINNING round, looking towards Call.

CALL

Wow!!  Wonder where this leads to!

BOA

Wait!!  

Call remains by the door.  

CLOSE UP on the Terminal Display Screen.  We DOLLY BACK from the Power Generator image to a WIDE ANGLE of the Command Station.

BOA

Strange, it isnít there.

RIPLEY
Well of course itís not there.  Must be some kind of-!

JOHNER (O.S.)

Secret entrance!  Well what the Hell you waitiní for Christmas!

Boa puts away the Terminal, walks up to the pressure door eagerly followed by Johner.  They hesitate before stepping inside.  

INT.   SECRET ENTRANCE.   STAIRWELL. (CONT.)

REVERSE TRACKING SHOT as Boa carefully walks through the dark narrow corridor followed by the others, CONTINUING towards a STAIRWELL at the other end.  Ripley looks upwards.

RIPLEYíS P.O.V. the stairwell fading from sight as it climbs into the darkness.
I guess the only way is up.

SHOT OF Boa quickly stepping in front of Ripley before she can move.

BOA (to Ripley)

If I didnít know better Iíd be thinking youíd been here before!

Ripley stares back at him blankly, saying nothing.

MISS KITTY (O.S.)
A ridiculous notion at best Sergeant...shall we proceed?

LOW ANGLED SHOT facing upwards as the STEALTH Crew begins the long climb up the stairwell.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT.   TERRAN SECRET ENTRANCE. (15 MINUTES LATER)

Eventually they reach the top of the stairwell.  Boa steps onto a narrow platform shining a light around the dark interior walls.

BOAíS P.O.V. PANNING LEFT sees a Control Panel with several buttons, a single lever and 2 small monitors currently OFF.

He goes up to and PULLS down the lever.  Immediately we hear a LOW HUMMING sound, slowly the ceiling descends a few feet, then recedes into the wall behind revealing the corridor above.  

Cautiously Boa climbs partly up a ladder, embedded in the wall, to look around.

INT.   CONVENT.   CORRIDOR.

BOAíS P.O.V. using a torch he looks RIGHT then LEFT.  The corridor FLICKERS with light but is  completely silent and empty.

INT.   STAIRWELL.

BOA

Ok weíre clear, letís go!

RIPLEY (to Boa)
What about here, this might be the only way in?

MISS KITTY
I agree!  One of us should stay behind, just in case!

TANNION

Iíll stay... (hesitates) I suppose!

BOA (to Tannion)
Alright...you wait here.  Leave youíre communicator open at all
times and guard this entrance with your life, understood?

TANNION
Yes Sir.  

BOA

We PULL BACK from the Secret Entrance as Boa climbs up into the corridor followed by Marriot, Ripley then the others.

BOA
Alright Mr. Tannion, close the door.

CLOSE UP of Ripley looking around curiously as the Secret Entrance closes (O.S.)

MARRIOT (O.S.)
Which way to the Generator Sarge?

BOA (O.S.)

This way!

ANGLED SHOT as the Secret Entrance closes, THEN on the STEALTH Crew heading down the corridor.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT.  CORRIDOR/BASEMENT. (LATER)

The STEALTH Crew emerges from one corridor, turning RIGHT into another.  At the end is an OPEN door.

We TRACK behind Boa as everyone heads more urgently towards The Basement.

Once inside he quickly switches his attention to a HATCH in the floor.

CLOSE UP of the Hatch, a label reads:
 
CAUTION: GENERATOR ROOM.
AUTHORISED PERSONNEL ONLY.

Boa PRESSES a BLUE button on a panel beside the Hatch, the Outter Hatch HISSES open.  Carefully he peers down into the shaft.

BOAíS P.O.V. sees nothing except a black bottomless hole.

KELLY (O.S.)
How are you gonna get down there?

QUAID (O.S.)
More to the point, whoís the bunny!

BOA
Better set up the winch Mr. Marriot.

MARRIOT
Aye Sarge.  

Marriot signals to Fellows and Nathaniel.  The 3 of them unpack thick steel poles, with other  pieces from one of the backpacks, and begin constructing the WINCH.

FELLOWS
Sure is quiet around here.

BLAKE (O.S.)
Maybe theyíre out to lunch, even religious folk gotta eat!

DR. MELLIE

At 9 in the morning, I donít think so.

RIPLEY
If anyone has seen us weíll know soon enough.

DR. MELLIE
Excuse me?

Ripley points up towards a camera on the ceiling.

Blake walks over towards the Security Camera, stares at it curiously, then STRIKES it with his rifle butt sending the camera CRASHING to the floor.

SHOT OF everyone turning to look at him.

MARRIOT
What the Hell did you do that for?

BLAKE

Now they wont!

Thereís a brief pause.

RIPLEY

Maybe we should go look around.

BOA

Weíre not going anywhere including you!

MISS KITTY

I donít know...this does seem a little strange-!

BOA

Itís not our problem Councilor, you know that.  And, if they do
come here, we use our cover.

CLOSE UP of the winch completed.  Marriot attaches a TRIPLE HARNESS to the pulley, allowing 3 people to be carried together.  Like a 6 foot tripod, the winch is secured over the Hatch.

CALL
How long will it take to get down there?

MARRIOT
About 10 minutes.

SAMUEL (to Boa)

Who gets to go on the ride?

BOA

You do. (looks at others) Fellows and...you! (points at Johner)

JOHNER

How come I knew you were gonna say that!

KELLY
Donít worry, it ainít a rollercoaster for sure.

Johner grins back at Kelly saying nothing.

Johner and the 2 Pirates begin strapping themselves into their safety harnesses.  Once secure they let themselves DANGLE over the Hatch.

Marriot hands Samuel his Quad Rifle then Fellows is given another small satchel.

JOHNER
Hey, how come I donít get a gun?

MARRIOT

Here, take this instead.

Marriot hands Johner a small Tracking Device.

JOHNER
Thanks a bunch!

BOA (to Fellows)
Radio in when you reach the bottom and donít let him (indicates
Johner) outta your sight.

FELLOWS
Right Sarge!

Boa then signals to Marriot to activate the Winch.  

DROP SHOT into the dark cylindrical shaft, the 3 men are slowly lowered downwards, activating their flashlights.  Soon even those are swallowed up by the darkness.

MISS KITTY

Sergeant, I still say we should look around-!

BOA

Whatever, but you take the responsibility Councilor!!  And Mr.
Marriot stays with me.

MISS KITTY

Ok I will.

Miss Kitty then turns towards the others.

MISS KITTY (CONT.)

Alright, we go in 2 groups.  Ripley, Call, Mr. Blake and I take
the North end of the complex.  Mr. Nathaniel you and the others
take the South.  We work our way up until we find someone.  Any
questions?

NATHANIEL
And if we donít find someone?

MISS KITTY
Then Mr. Nathaniel, as the Sergeant said, itís not our problem.

We PAN AROUND the group, staring at each other determinedly, saying nothing.

MISS KITTY
Ok, letís take a look around.

SLOWLY ZOOMING IN on Sergeant Boa watching the others leave.  He casually SNORTS from his Silver Bullet, then turns his attention to Marriot lowering the winch.

DISSOLVE TO:
