I just figured this film deserves its own thread on the forum as well. Besides the slightly iffy looking Sith light sabre, I thought the trailer looked very promising and am looking forward to seeing the finished product with the old cast assembled once more

I just watched the originals the other week actually. I like it from when I was a kid but I'm not a diehard fan of it like the majority of people. CP3O is very funny and I like the creature stuff.

Yeah, some aspects I like and some I don't, I was actually never overly fond of C3PO for some reason. I think I found him a bit over acted on the silly stuff, much like that horrible Jar Jar character was in the first "new" movie.

Anyway I wouldn't say I'm a diehard fan but it's definitely up there among my favourite movie franchises so it'll be interesting to see what comes of it. Too bad it's another year before it comes out.

I don't like the prequels very much. That's what really puts me off the new movie. I really can't see me going to the cinema for it, especially around Christmas. I'll probably wait for the media release.

C3PO always made me chuckle. Great voice actor. They're all coming back for the new movie, even Chewie.

Did you see the new trailer? It ended with Chewie and Han Solo.

Yes I actually wasn't overly fond of the ending though, I felt it was a tad bit cheesy but the overall trailer looked pretty good. And the fact they seem to be using almost entirely physical sets and effects rather than just greenscreening it with CGI backdrops I think is going to make a world of difference compared to the recent three prequels. Probably will have a lot more similar feel to the oldest three films.

Somehow I've never liked Star Wars and I probably haven't even seen all parts, so I'm not really looking forward to any new episodes, but I may still see anything new that comes out with my wife. She likes SW.

That Chewie scene got a massive applause from the audience when the trailer premiered at the star wars convention. Yeah, nice trailer, I'm really looking forward to it.

Did you know that little robot is actually real? They're bringing out to buy as well. It moves but it's head stays on top but it can also move indepently from its body. Check it out.

Sorry yeah it was apparently the closed URL tag without using an equal sign that caused a glitch, I need to fix that. I don't think it was that way before so maybe I messed it up when I recently rewrote a bit of code for the current updates I was doing.

But yes my guess is magnetism of some kind, it's a very cool effect though! It definitely looks very "future techy" and very cool that things like that is possible to do today.

I do hope they don't make it all too overly cutesy though. Things like the robots arguing on stage just makes me cringe, I've never been able to find things like that funny even when I was a kid and I don't enjoy it in movies either, but at least it shouldn't possible be as bad as Jar-Jar either way.

It does look like it will be an awesome movie so far anyway.
