I think there was a lot of pointless or badly timed gory scenes in AVP 2. The other Alien/ Predator films never had this much gore and the gore they had was well timed and looked real while in AVP 2 they just used it for the hell of it. What do you think?

Very true. The CGI blood doesn't help either.

I know but if you look back at those movies they had gore when they needed it and thats it they didn't just have blood and guts for the hell of it.

But AVP 2 had gore in scenes they didn't need. Its like they just had a lot of gory scenes just to make it rated R.

Yeah, AvP and AvP:R both managed to look very fake, just in different ways.

Wouldn't be surprised if for AvP 3 we'll see the shadow of some studio tech dude squeezing a ketchup bottle as things start getting messy.

I enjoyed the gore in it. That is what made it a nice contrast to the Alien vs. Predator, which I enjoyed as well.

i just didnt like the hospaitel part i liked all the rest of the pointless gore!

If they used just used some real stuff inside of cgi blood I would be fine but I hate cg blood it looks faker then someone useing ketchup for bloood.
