Hi I'm alive,and back,any ways heres my thoughts and reviews
ok heres my review
warning may contain spoilers

well at first It starts out continueing(sorry for miss spells)the first avp movie,soon we see the hybird,and other crap.....so far there are charecters I love and hate,and some of them die  2 I hate are in the beggining,daimen from the omen(sorta,he looks like that kid) and the father,after a bit they both get facehugged....the demon kid here has one fat chestbuster,soon are FBI pred comes to erase the evidence of aliens,mean while the hybird is raping every girl in site.there are a few alien 3 ,predator 1,and concret jungle references.It's great to also listen to the predator music from #1.soon we have the stupid military come up a then die,not killing 1 alien(never hire rookies lol).the ending goes a littel open ended,but im not spoiling anything else.

+great effects
+the original soundtrack is used....the good sounding ones
+great cast of charecter(except a few)
-story was not revielled that great(talking about avp history)
-ending was not so great

It sounds that to most people, the darkness and choppy cuts are a big problem, but I've heard that might just be in some of the theatres, and will probably be a lot clearer on DVD versions.

Also, people seem to feel the plot doesn't build too well and characters aren't developed properly etc, but you also want to keep in mind the Strauses have already stated there will be a lot more of that on the DVD directors cut version. They had to cut a lot of stuff for the theatrical, so if it's too fast-paced now, it might have a smoother feel on DVD.

Anyway, I'm definitely going to see it in theatres myself only to support the franchise and directors and such, but I'm not going to allow myself to be TOO disappointed until I've watched the DVD edition too.

well thanks,and the "choppy cuts and darkness is probably just in the theaters,cause It looked perfectly in were I lived,and that happend in a few other movies.

Well this is MY review.  Beware as it does contain some fairly major spoilers.  I give you all fair warning of that NOW.

And just to be EXTRA clear.  SPOILERS FOLLOW.

From a plot perspective, I went into the film with absolutely no expectations.  After the first film I would say anything that doesn't involve an underground Mayan temple with an alien breeding ground (And doesn't involve a Predator befriending a human) is a good story.  The characters were just there to be fodder for the violence and that's EXACTLY how I like it.

I thought the Alien aspect was well played, there was plenty of chestbursty action and lots of brain-eating.  I thought the Aliens had a number of shocking "Oh Shit!" moments what with the popping out of nowhere as well.  All around I thought the Aliens were well portrayed.  The only issues I had were with the Predalien's breeding method...I thought that since there was no queen a full-blown infestation couldn't happen too quickly but the writers/directors decided to pull a cop-out and make the Predalien breed in an...unorthodox method.  That I severely disliked.  Plus it led to the Pred being overwhelmed in the end...another no-no I say.

As to the Predator, in that respect the movie really shined.  There was only ONE Predator and that's the way it SHOULD be.  He was like an elite cleaner/coverup agent.  He jacked another Pred's ritual plasmacaster from the first movie and that made him all the more badass.  He took on dozens of Aliens (and the occasional gun-toting stoner) and blew them all away in brilliant fashion.  But I've always been a fan of Yautja technology and gadgetry more than anything else so it was that aspect of the Predator that really made me love this film.  They showed a ton of kickass new Pred gadgets.  The SWEET tracking beacons/laser webs from the sewer fight were AMAZING.  Plus they showed an awesome power-glove kinda thing and even more awesome was that kickass blue goo.  It was like some sort of biodegrading bacteria generator that made me go "I WANT ONE NOW!".  And even though he only used his discs once, the outcome was awesome.  Skewered cheerleader anyone?

As to the ending.  Well, I thought it was believable to an extent.  The government contingency plan has been done before, and that gives it credibility.  But as to the outcome of the Aliens vs. Predator battle...well I thought that a tad far-fetched.  The Predator had clearly come out victorious when out of nowhere he gets speared.  Why would every other Alien die when it's stabbed in the head but not the Predalien?  It makes no sense.  Also the timeline was a tad off.  The first few aliens definitely had enough time to gestate, as it only needs a couple of hours.  But once we got to the hospital scene it was clear that the chestbursters both burst and matured FAR too quickly.  But as mentioned above, some plot was cut for the theatrical edition so perhaps the timeline will be made more clear in the DVD edition?  Anyway, that's my reaction and these are my comments.  Feel free to say what you thought of the movie!

I haven't seen it yet but, all these reviews are annoying.

I want to see it, but since I have been reading all these reviews and listening to negative stuff from some members, and uber alien nerds, me wanting to see this movie, and even being a fan of the hole thing, as really dropped, I feel sad about the fact I have been waiting about 1 year and a half just to be told 'its shit' it can't be that bad can it.

I just hate seeing something that was regarded as 'one of the best movies ever' to 'oh god yet another Sci-Fi channel B-movie' all this as really depressed me, I owe these films for what I have achieved and want to do in life.

I just hope, if there is ever an AVP 3, they get it right, 3rd time lucky.

Well, as I'm sure you didn't read my post if you havn't seen the movie yet I can see why you think all the reviews are negative.  But just so you don't have to read what I said, I give the movie a glowing endorsement.  Unlike AVP1, this movie is worth seeing.  You may not like everything about it but I enjoyed myself immensely.  Don't think you shouldn't see it just because of what movie critics are saying because they're not FANS.

The critics don't bother me, I will see it and probably love it, its just your none alien and predator fan sees these films a total crap now, because of critics, what the hole point of a critic, all they do is ruin movies, ass holes.  

first of avpr WAS a good movie,but critics need to understand more,the only bad part was the fact that the predalien rapes people.....seeing that happen in avp3 game for the pc may just turn....odd,but you should see it,the ending may not have been good.....it's probably better that way showing,that the brothers strause are making a third which would make the ending a little better and avp shoul stay open ended,in comics,games and movies to show that theres no end to the war,and there needs to be more fan movies to support this franchise,and actully it's like some patteran,if the critic says its good=bad

now this tick me off
first off before watching this,a few comments said "thanks,you saved me from watching this movie"....this isent a bad review....but the rating needs to be a little better and some of the stuff he said...well there was nothing wrong with some of it(the parts of the movie) now hopefully the dvd will convince these idiots that the movie is better than what they thought,go review thow....some comments make people alittle idots...one comment say"this is avp not pizza boy cant get laid"...and before there was other stuff,correction...if this was about just violence and stuff...it woul loose the good stuff in a movie not "blow up the whole world and forgeting the main story of the comics and games"and that guy who commented said "he" was a "big fan"damn idiot.now here it is

Maybe you should try splitting up your points a bit with some spaces inbetween, that stuff is a bit hard to read/comprehend.
