*sighs*

Well at least they got the masked predator look right this time.

I suppose the un-masked animated predator face can still disappoint tho.

Also, hopefully we'll never see the predalien quite that clearly in the movie, maybe shadows and rain will hide most of it.

You both aren't being very positive.

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but what is it you don't like?

I like the first and bottom two images. I think the closeup shots are better.

I like it, I am just not sure about the yellowish chest and shoulder areas, but other than that, I like it.

Well, it's not as if it looks as horrible as the newborn, but I myself think it looks more like another fake toy plastic figure and less like a movie monster.

Maybe I'm not seeing it, but what is it you don't like?

For me it's partway like Weyland said - I REALLY don't like the color mix. We have almost the same skin color as predators, for us alien turn out a blueish jet black but for them, yellow-and-black? I dunno, the color mix and its sharp borders adds to the toy-appearance I think.

But also I have a huge problem with especially the third picture, with the oversized mandibles and stuff (also the one where it's coming at the girl), it just again looks very plasticy and fake.

As I said tho they might make it work in the movie when it's darker and more blurred with motion etc, it's not as if we're likely to get to analyze them under the microscope on the big screen. And some of the pictures I'm fairly OK with still, it's just.. ugh.. there's a lot of newborn potential the way I see it, depending on how it's handled.

EDIT: Another thing that bugged me - it also looks in some of the pictures as if the alien actually incorporated the predators ARMOR into its dna, especially the plates on the shoulders. I sincerely hope that's just my imagination.

Hmm, I guess I'm starting to see the problem with the body. I hate the third picture. Somebody told me that it could be unpainted in that shot. I'm hoping in the film we won't see too much of the creature.

By the way, here's another picture that Fox gave us:

VenomX was first to reply, I agree with what he said as my impressions are very similar.

I'll just add that what I also hate is the fact that they made that creature look like a Predator way too much. Why do those people always have to exaggerate, push things beyond any reasonable limits? I mean it would be fine if the Predalien took SOME characteristics from its Predator host, but what is THAT?!

If it moves like and behaves like a Alien I'll be fine with it but if they don't get that right I'll be pissed.

Well I saw the movie yesterday and I think that it looks much better on the big screen than in these little pictures.  I didn't even notice that it had yellow skin since it was mostly in darkness the whole movie.  The mandibles look fine to me as well.  I actually like the design quite a bit.
